Edition 26, Only 5 weeks after Edition 25:

This one was written by Associate Editor and Squirrel Herder, Rebecca. Now, at some point I’ll have to do Edition 27, which will be that infamous 100th edition of Excuses I’ve been on about for some time. Then I’ll probably quit doing Excuses for a while, as is my wont to do. Besides, I can’t actually do the 30 as advertised. I’ve never finished a series yet, why start now?

So it was always a running joke where I’d claim there were going to be 30 editions, then I’d get busy and then start slipping and in the end things would get cancelled prematurely. Well, things are slipping, but by gum we’re going to finish 30 editions this time! …just not one today. Let’s see, how does March 7 sound? Let’s try for March 7. Sounds good to me. Until then, radio show Wednesday at 10am eastern, and again Friday at 6pm eastern.

News item for you: I’m starting a radio show! I’m so excited!!!

It’s called “Wacky Wednesday” and will be on (surprise!) Wednesdays at 10:00 am Eastern, 7:00 am Pacific, 6:00 pm in Москва, starting February 16. You can hear it around the world at http://www.radiofreekokomo.org, so special thanks to the denizens of Indiana University Kokomo for getting their station off the ground and for letting me out of the cellar for an hour a week to do it. A rebroadcast will occur Fridays at 6:00 pm Eastern, 3:00 Pacific.

Maybe we’ll throw in some references to Excuses in there too. This is on top of Excuses which will continue until all 30 editions are published, then it’ll be time to start thinking about Excuses 6… ambitious little devil I am.

Ahh, back to Mondays; this feels better. If I hurry and make this description short I might be able to squeeze it in before the clock strikes twelve. Then again, I know Tumblr is just going to gnaw on it for several hours anyhow, so what’s the point. I’ll just publish it by hand. The Excuses on Friday experiment ends in miserable failure. I realized that it gets buried by Follow Fridays on Twitter and I just can’t deal with that. Back to Monday it is, but all is not lost.

I’m still going to post here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And for today I have an added bonus; I filled in for my wife on her radio show, which you can hear at http://www.radiofreekokomo.org at 10:00 am eastern, 7:00 pacific this morning. Hope some folks will listen and that it turns out decent. The show will replay at ~~12E/9P for those of you who are morning-challenged~~. 10 am on Tuesday 2/8. Brain fart, Sorry.

Note to self: quit skirting deadlines. Other note to self: quit leaving the paper with the good ideas on it at work. Other than that, it’s more of the same, and thank goodness we’re at 23 editions, because keeping up the energy to get to 30 is a whole heck of a lot harder than I remembered it being. Then again, that might explain why I’ve never made it to 30 before. I think we’ll make it this time. I’ve got that glorious unpaid staff that I keep alluding to. I’ll have to introduce them all some time.

If you can believe this, I actually have photos. And will probably have more photos in the near future when someone sends some to me that were taken at a party the other night. Problem is I need to space things out some, otherwise I’ll run out of photos. I don’t get out that much honestly, so it’s reasonably unlikely that I will be able to generate so much content that I can post something every day.
